Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Ramada by Wyndham Coquitlam receives positive remarks for its convenient and central location, providing easy access to restaurants, stores, the SkyTrain and major highways. The hotel is especially appreciated for its proximity to attractions like Vancouver, Burnaby and Simon Fraser University, as well as practical amenities including free parking, a pool and a hot tub. Despite being slightly outside Vancouver's main area, it remains a functional and accessible base for exploring the city.
The hotel offers spacious and comfortable rooms with basic amenities like a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Guests particularly appreciated the laminate flooring, comfortable beds with plenty of pillows and the overall cleanliness of many rooms. However, some rooms were noted to require updating and more thorough cleaning.
The staff at Ramada by Wyndham Coquitlam received favorable comments for their friendliness and helpfulness, especially the cleaning crew and front desk personnel. Notable staff members mentioned include Sukhman and Long, who were praised for their professionalism.
Families find the hotel suitable due to its clean, affordable and spacious rooms, alongside a safe environment and kid-friendly amenities. Parking is noted to be ample and free, adding to the convenience for guests.
Although the breakfast service fell short of many guests' expectations, the on-site Chinese restaurant, Sun Star, was highly praised for its delicious food and reasonable prices. Room service was available, enhancing the dining experience despite some operational and service issues.
While the hotel's Wi-Fi service was free, it faced criticism for being inconsistent and unreliable. The pool received mixed reviews; it was appreciated for being warm and child-friendly but had issues with cleanliness and accessibility.
Overall, Ramada by Wyndham Coquitlam offers good value for money with comfortable accommodations and a friendly staff, making it a reasonable choice for diverse travelers, including families and those on business. However, enhancements in breakfast services, Wi-Fi connectivity and room updates could significantly improve guest satisfaction.
