The reviews on The Imperial Dragon Hotel’s accessibility present a mixed picture. Guests generally appreciated the cleanliness and tidiness of the rooms. Ground floor rooms provided easy access to outside areas, making it convenient for those traveling with pets. The staff was noted for being helpful and accessible, which contributed positively to the overall experience.
However, there were significant concerns highlighted. The absence of a lift was a recurrent critique, particularly problematic for those staying on higher floors. This lack of an elevator, combined with high bath edges and the need for additional grab rails in the shower, posed challenges for guests with mobility issues or advancing age. A ground floor room's lack of view was also mentioned, which might detract from the experience for some.
Additionally, some practical issues like the high placement of the toilet roll holder and the absence of a small fridge in rooms added to the inconveniences. Guests also noted a limited selection of in-room tea and coffee and would have preferred an on-site evening meal option. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel’s positives, such as its cleanliness and helpful staff, provided some balance to the overall stay, though significant improvements in accessibility features are clearly needed.
