The Waterfront in Maun offers an exceptional experience for guests, combining stunning natural beauty with warmth and hospitality. Nestled along the tranquil Thamalakane River, the lodge provides picturesque views and a peaceful ambiance. The location serves as an ideal base for exploring the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve, further enriching the experience with its lush gardens and diverse birdlife.
Guests highly praise the comfortable and spacious accommodations, with many rooms offering beautiful river views. Modern bathrooms and stylish decor enhance the overall stay, while the cozy, generously sized beds ensure a restful night's sleep, supported by the thoughtful provision of mosquito nets. Despite minor mentions of the rooms lacking charm, the cleanliness and comfort typically exceed expectations.
The Waterfront's breakfast is a highlight for many visitors, featuring a delightful buffet of homemade breads, cakes, jams, fresh fruits, and cold cuts, complemented by quality coffee. The hotel's attentive staff contributes significantly to the positive experience, providing warm hospitality and assisting with activity planning and local dining recommendations. Dinner options are curated with care, despite the absence of an on-site restaurant.
While the Wi-Fi service receives mixed reviews, it is often described as among the best in Botswana, allowing guests to easily stay connected. The inviting pool area, surrounded by lovely flowers and lush foliage, offers a serene and perfect relaxation spot, further enhanced by the warm service and cozy evening gatherings around a fire.
Overall, The Waterfront in Maun stands out for its scenic location, exceptional service, and emphasis on guest comfort, offering a memorable stay filled with tranquility, exploration, and genuine hospitality.
