Ye Olde Plough House provides an appealing and convenient destination, particularly for events like weddings. Guests appreciate the beautiful and well-maintained grounds, ample parking and serene setting, which contribute to its high value for money. The location, though slightly off the beaten track, offers breathtaking room views and maintains an attractive cleanliness standard, further enhancing the venue's appeal.
The breakfast at Ye Olde Plough House is well-received for being tasty, plentiful and of a high standard, despite minor comments on pricing and limited options. Guests appreciate the breakfast's swift service, enriching the hotel’s charming and romantic ambiance. Dinner experiences vary; the bar boasts good-quality, affordable dining, while the main restaurant's food and setup receive mixed reviews with some guests noting issues with pricing and meal satisfaction.
Rooms are spacious, modern, clean and well-presented, elevating the guest experience. However, there are occasional concerns about basic amenities, temperature control and bed comfort, which suggest areas for improvement. Despite some isolated issues with room comfort and odors, the general consensus points to clean, fresh accommodations that are inviting and functional.
The staff at Ye Olde Plough House are a highlight, consistently praised for their friendliness, helpfulness and impeccable service. Guests feel welcomed by the attentive team, who are often commended for going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. This exceptional service significantly contributes to the overall positive experience.
Family stays are well-catered to with large family rooms supporting comfortable accommodations for all members. Positive experiences lead families to recommend the venue for special occasions and gatherings. However, while some find the beds comfortable, opinions vary with several guests encountering issues with bed size and comfort levels.
In summary, Ye Olde Plough House offers a commendable blend of charm, service and convenience, making it a favorable choice for weddings, family gatherings and leisure stays. While there are areas for improvement, the overall positive reviews underscore a destination that delivers value and satisfaction.
