Residenza L'Antico Borgo Hotel is praised for offering a combination of antique charm and modern comfort, creating a memorable experience for its guests. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with spacious and quiet rooms that many find cozy and welcoming. Guests appreciate the unique and romantic ambiance, enhanced by clean bedding and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are well-kept and include features like small balconies offering views of the old town, creating an ideal setting within the historic tower.
The hotel staff receives high marks for their friendliness and helpfulness, which significantly enhances the overall guest experience. The breakfast is generous by Southern Italian standards, with a variety of sweet items such as cakes, cookies, and pastries, often described as tasty and a highlight by many. Local items, though limited, are noted for their excellent quality and authentic Calabrian essence.
While breakfast could benefit from expanded options beyond the prevalent sweet offerings and fewer pre-packaged products, guests have the alternative to enjoy breakfast at an affiliated café or nearby pastry shop, which receives positive remarks. Despite some minor issues, like occasional dust or the absence of coffee/tea facilities and hairdryers, the hotel's welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the very good regional cuisine served at the adjacent restaurant, makes Residenza L'Antico Borgo Hotel a recommended choice for a charming getaway.
