The Liberty's Hotel in Villefranche receives high praise for its strategic and central location, making it an optimal base for exploring the city. Guests appreciate its proximity to shops, restaurants, cultural spots and the train station, all within walking distance. Despite being situated above a lively pub, the sound insulation is excellent, ensuring a quiet and restful environment. Ample parking options further add to the convenience, making the hotel suitable for transient visitors and those planning extended stays.
The breakfast experience elicits mixed reactions. On the positive side, guests find it hearty, delicious and enhanced by friendly staff and a pleasant terrace setting. However, some note that the selection is limited and the €10 price tag may not seem justified compared to the variety and freshness offered.
Dining in the pub downstairs is a highlight with guests praising the quality and diversity of the food, especially the pizzas and the reasonable prices. The festive and cozy atmosphere of the pub, coupled with a good selection of craft beers, makes it a popular spot for both meals and drinks.
Rooms at The Liberty's are clean, comfortable and well-soundproofed, though they tend to be on the smaller side. The charming and cozy ambiance, combined with the helpfulness of the staff, ensures a pleasant stay. Potential drawbacks include some dated decor, issues with ventilation and the absence of an elevator, which might be a challenge for those with extensive luggage or mobility issues.
Cleanliness is generally highly regarded with many guests noting the tidy and tastefully decorated rooms. Despite occasional reports of dust or less inviting communal areas, the overall feedback on cleanliness is positive, supported by the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff.
The hospitality at The Liberty's stands out with guests consistently commending the professional, friendly and welcoming nature of the staff. Their attentiveness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience, making guests feel at home and well-cared for during their stay.
The free WiFi is appreciated, though experiences with the stability and speed of the connection vary. While some guests find it sufficient, others report issues such as slow or unstable connections at certain times.
Parking options are abundant and convenient, ranging from nearby public lots to private parking solutions for an additional fee. The ease of access and multiple choices make parking a stress-free aspect of the stay.
The Liberty's also caters well to families, offering family rooms, a game room for children and a family-friendly atmosphere. Despite some noise and limited food options for kids, the overall experience for families is positive.
Beds at The Liberty's receive high marks for their comfort and quality with many guests noting the large, clean and super comfortable bedding. While a few reviews mention less-than-perfect beds, the majority are satisfied with the excellent and conducive-to-sleep bedding.
Lastly, The Liberty's is welcoming to canine companions, making it a reasonable choice for those traveling with dogs. Pet amenities and the ability to accommodate service dogs highlight the hotel’s commitment to ensuring a comfortable stay for both pets and their owners.
