Sissi Apartments provides a generally positive experience for guests, particularly those seeking a quiet, well-located base for exploring Vienna. Its location appeals to visitors with cars, benefitting from easy access to transportation and proximity to the city center. Guests appreciate the tranquil setting on the outskirts, valuing the affordability relative to its super location. The apartments offer clean, spacious rooms with modern furniture, adjustable temperature controls, and sizable bathrooms, catering well to groups or families.
While cleanliness receives mixed reviews, many find the apartment interiors satisfactory and well-maintained, although common areas such as staircases could benefit from more attention. The comfort of the beds is a highlight, with soft mattresses and clean bedding enhancing the sleeping experience. The Wi-Fi service, however, varies in reliability, with some guests reporting issues in connectivity.
Parking has been repeatedly praised for its convenience, with a large, private area available to guests free of charge, adding to the overall comfort and appeal. Despite some drawbacks, such as the surroundings being industrial with limited pedestrian access and occasional Wi-Fi connectivity issues, Sissi Apartments largely provides value for money and meets the needs of short-term travelers seeking a peaceful stay near Vienna.

Summary of reviews

Arion Cityhotel Vienna offers a tranquil and convenient stay on the outskirts of Vienna, surrounded by greenery and near Wienerberg Park. This location is particularly advantageous for travelers by car, providing easy access to major highways and a 30-minute public transport route to the city center. While the distance from central Vienna remains a drawback for some, the peaceful environment and accessible public transport options compensate for the longer commute. Proximity to the airport and free public parking adds further convenience.
Breakfast at the hotel is generally appreciated for its variety and generous portions, catering to different tastes including vegetarians and vegans. Guests have praised the fresh vegetables, fruits, cold cuts, pastries and excellent coffee. However, some found the breakfast basic, repetitive and not worth the €15 price, particularly when issues like cold scrambled eggs and lack of replenishment arose during peak hours.
Dinner offerings at the hotel have mixed reviews with a good quality but limited menu. Some guests noted the inconvenience of a closed kitchen during their stay and limited nearby dining options, though the available nearby restaurant and grocery shops provide alternatives.
The hotel's rooms are spacious, functional and ideal for families or extended stays, offering kitchenettes and generous bathrooms. Guests commend the comfortable beds and overall value for money. Nonetheless, signs of wear and tear, outdated furnishings, occasional cleanliness issues and unpleasant odors have been noted, suggesting a need for updates and better upkeep.
Cleanliness feedback is mixed with many guests satisfied with the clean rooms, bathrooms and bedding. However, inconsistent hygiene standards, particularly with stained carpets and inadequately cleaned bathrooms, highlight areas for improvement.
The staff consistently earns high praise for their friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism, contributing significantly to a positive guest experience. Specific staff members like Ms. Mizgin receive frequent commendations for exceptional service.
Wi-Fi emerges as a notable issue with many guests experiencing slow speeds, inconsistent connectivity and weak signals, particularly in the rooms. The lobby often offers better performance, but many faced significant challenges with internet connectivity.
Parking is available, including an underground garage and free options on weekends and nearby public areas. However, the cost of €15 per day for garage parking is considered steep and availability can be limited, leading to difficulties finding spots.
The hotel is well-suited for families, offering spacious family rooms and a family-friendly environment. Despite some issues like smoking rooms and occasional unpleasant smells, the overall experience is deemed worthwhile for families due to the cost-benefit ratio and convenience for transit stays.
The comfort of the beds receives varied feedback with many praising their cleanliness and coziness. However, some guests reported issues with bed quality, such as worn-out mattresses and damaged frames.
While Arion Cityhotel maintains a four-star rating, many guests feel it does not fully meet this standard, aligning more closely with a two or three-star facility due to aspects like weak internet and subpar breakfast. However, consistent cleanliness, helpful staff and comfortable beds enhance the overall guest experience. Nevertheless, improvements in maintenance, cleanliness and meal options could significantly elevate the hotel's standards.
