The picturesque building itself adds to the hotel’s allure and visitors commend the warm, accommodating staff who enhance the overall comfort and hospitality.
The breakfast at Hôtel Jean XXII is a standout feature with a buffet that offers a diverse selection of fresh and high-quality items, including both sweet and savory options. Served in a cozy, stylish room, the breakfast receives positive remarks for both the food quality and the friendly service. Though some find the breakfast area to be a bit cramped and note that the cost could be lower, the overall experience remains highly valued.
The rooms at the hotel, while slightly compact, are well-maintained, clean and comfortable. Some rooms feature unique mezzanine layouts and original Gothic windows, adding a historical touch to the stay. Guests appreciate the serene environment, comfortable bedding and the quiet rooms overlooking picturesque local monuments or a charming courtyard. Minor issues, such as occasional damp smells or outdated bathroom fixtures, are noted but are generally overlooked due to the positive aspects of the rooms.
Cleanliness is a significant highlight of Hôtel Jean XXII with numerous guests praising the immaculate state of both the rooms and common areas. This attention to hygiene is complemented by the helpful and friendly staff, who consistently provide impeccable service and personal touches, making each stay memorable.
The Wi-Fi service receives positive reviews for its reliability and strong connection, though some guests mention that access is mostly available in the hallways rather than within individual rooms. Despite this, the hotel's internet service is considered a valuable addition to the comfortable stay it offers.
Families find Hôtel Jean XXII to be an excellent choice, thanks to the family-friendly rooms and the welcoming environment. The hotel's ideal location near the old town and good parking options further enhance its appeal for family stays.
Finally, the beds at the hotel are frequently described as very comfortable with high-quality duvets and firm mattresses providing a restful night’s sleep. While some guests point out minor inconveniences like the lack of nearby electrical outlets, the overall feedback emphasizes the comfort and quality of the sleep experience.
