Mantra Hervey Bay offers a mixed bag when it comes to accessibility for guests with disabilities. On the positive side, the location is notably convenient, providing easy access to local amenities, boat tours and nearby cafes and restaurants. The entrance and lifts are described as very convenient, making navigation easier. Additionally, the overall facility is noted as accessible, though specifics might need to be checked directly.
However, several challenges were highlighted, particularly concerning the bathrooms. Many guests found the high-sided bathtub and shower over the bath difficult to navigate, especially those with mobility issues or elderly guests. The spa bath, although available, also presents accessibility difficulties due to its design. There were concerns about the small size of the lifts and some issues with pool access, such as the presence of steps that obstruct easy entry.
While the hotel seems to offer accessibility in terms of location and basic facilities, guests with disabilities should be prepared for potential challenges, especially in bathroom areas. Contacting the hotel beforehand to discuss specific accessibility needs is advisable.
