Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Bowral Hotel, located in the heart of Bowral, offers a central and convenient location that is ideal for exploring the town. Guests appreciate being just steps away from cafes, restaurants and shops on the Main Street, making it a practical choice for both short visits and extended stays.
The hotel's recently renovated rooms receive high praise for their modern, stylish design and cleanliness. Visitors commend the comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms with rain-head showers and the quiet ambiance, despite being centrally located. The decor matches the online photos with rooms providing a cozy and efficient use of space, though some guests comment on the need for better carpet cleaning.
While breakfast is not available on-site, the proximity to excellent nearby cafes, such as The Press Shop cafe, compensates for this. For other meals, the hotel's bistro is highly regarded for offering fresh, hot and plentiful pub food. Special deals on main meals make dining here a cost-effective option, despite some occasional inconsistencies in food quality.
Cleanliness is generally well-rated, particularly in the newly refurbished rooms, although there are areas for improvement such as carpet stains and dusty floors. The helpful and friendly staff further enhance the guest experience with many visitors appreciating the welcoming atmosphere provided by the team.
The beds, while often described as very comfortable, have received mixed reviews due to issues like wheels causing movement and varying firmness preferences. However, many guests still reported excellent sleep quality.
Accessibility features are commendable with ground-level rooms and amenities designed to accommodate guests with disabilities. The availability of parking spaces directly outside room entrances is particularly valued, despite some challenges posed by the gravel car park.
Overall, The Bowral Hotel offers a clean, comfortable and well-located stay with modern amenities, exemplary dining options and accommodating service, making it a highly recommended choice for visitors to Bowral.
