The full English breakfast, in particular, is highly praised. The dining experience is further enhanced by timely and friendly service and the availability of freshly ground coffee. Dinner at The Chequers Inn is equally commendable with many guests highlighting the delicious food and the welcoming atmosphere of the bar and restaurant area. Favorites include fantastic fish and chips, divine meals and the popular Sunday roast. Guests appreciate the beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean rooms. Spacious and equipped with modern amenities, the rooms provide a comfortable and stylish stay. Features like comfortable beds, walk-in showers and patios with scenic views over the fields contribute to the positive reviews. Although there are occasional minor issues like dust or the absence of air conditioning, the overall sentiment reflects satisfaction with the value for money and the quality of the accommodations.
The impressive cleanliness extends beyond the rooms with guests frequently praising the spotless and recently refurbished facilities. Combined with a welcoming atmosphere, the inn ensures a thoroughly pleasant stay.
The staff at The Chequers Inn consistently receive high marks for their friendly, welcoming and attentive service. Professional and efficient, the team contributes significantly to the inn's inviting ambiance, making guests feel warmly attended to throughout their stay.
The inn also provides a good Wi-Fi experience with satisfactory speeds and the convenience of ample, newly built parking spaces, including electric car charging points, adds to its appeal. Family-friendly facilities with spacious and clean family rooms and a children's menu at the restaurant, further enhance the attractiveness of The Chequers Inn as a destination for all types of travelers.
