Borgo degli Aranci is a charming retreat set against the picturesque backdrop of the Tuscan landscape, offering guests breathtaking views from its hillside location. The serene environment, reminiscent of a quaint village surrounded by lush gardens, provides a peaceful escape with stunning vistas of Pisa, Livorno, and the sea. The hotel's strategic positioning makes it an excellent base for exploring nearby cities like Pisa and Lucca, although having a car is recommended for wider excursions.
The warm hospitality of the staff at Borgo degli Aranci significantly enhances the guest experience. The friendly and attentive service, coupled with effective communication in English, ensures guests feel valued and well-cared-for. The dining experience at the hotel's restaurant is particularly notable, with high praise for the flavorful meals crafted from local ingredients, enjoyed against the beautiful panoramic views.
While breakfast receives mixed reviews, with some guests finding it basic, the dinner offerings are consistently highlighted as excellent. The fresh local ingredients and careful presentation make dining at the hotel a memorable experience, although the restaurant's operating schedule varies during the low season.
Accommodations at Borgo degli Aranci are characterized by spaciousness and cleanliness, though some furnishings and bathrooms could benefit from updates. Despite these minor areas for improvement, guests appreciate the generous space of rooms and the overall maintenance. The pool area is a standout feature, praised for its cleanliness, stunning setting, and ample space for relaxation.
However, the comfort of the beds receives mixed feedback, with reports varying from comfortable mattresses to issues with mattress quality, indicating an area that could be addressed to enhance guest comfort.
Overall, Borgo degli Aranci is a tranquil and charming getaway with excellent hospitality, magnificent views, and a delightful dining experience, making it a memorable destination for those seeking relaxation and exploration in the Tuscan countryside.
