Les Voisins De Mr Sax, situated in the heart of Dinant, is lauded for its prime location with stunning views of the Meuse River and proximity to major attractions like the citadel, shops, restaurants and cafes. This ideal setting adds to its charm as the perfect base for exploring the city. The property offers well-maintained, clean and comfortable rooms with many featuring picturesque river views. Despite some small bathrooms and steep stairs, the overall comfort and cleanliness of the rooms receive high praise.
Guests appreciate the convenience of a well-equipped shared kitchen, where they can prepare their own meals while enjoying the scenic river. While breakfast isn't complimentary, the nearby bakery is a popular alternative for delicious morning meals. For dinner, the hotel's central location provides effortless access to numerous highly recommended restaurants and there is the option to dine in using the shared kitchen.
The staff, particularly the host Frederic, are frequently commended for their exceptional service. Frederic's responsiveness and attentiveness significantly enhance the guest experience. Although on-site staff presence is limited, efficient communication and clear instructions ensure a smooth stay.
However, the property faces criticism for its WiFi service, which is often unreliable and weak, particularly on the second floor. This remains a notable inconvenience for some guests. Despite this, the beds are widely praised for their sturdiness and comfort, contributing to restful sleep.
In conclusion, Les Voisins De Mr Sax offers a delightful stay with its unbeatable location, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly service and excellent amenities, making it a preferred choice for visitors to Dinant. Improvements in WiFi quality and communal area cleanliness could enhance the experience further.
