Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
May-Dee Suites in Florida garners largely positive reviews across various categories, highlighting it as a commendable option for both short and long stays.
**Location:** The hotel enjoys a prime spot near Hollywood, FL, providing easy access to key attractions, shopping and dining venues. Proximity to Fort Lauderdale and Miami airports, along with good connectivity to major roads, adds to its appeal for travelers. The peaceful and clean neighborhood further enhances its attractiveness, although the busy main road can occasionally be noisy.
**Rooms:** Guests frequently praise the spacious, apartment-like rooms complete with full kitchens and separate bedrooms. Cleanliness and comfort are recurrent themes with many appreciating the well-maintained conditions and cozy furnishings. Despite minor issues like older fixtures and occasional traffic noise, the rooms offer great value, especially with the added amenities such as air conditioning and a pool.
**Cleanliness:** Clean and tidy accommodations and facilities are a highlight at May-Dee Suites. The majority of guests commend the hotel's effort in maintaining a pristine environment, including modern and super clean rooms. Some areas for improvement include occasional instances of dirt and insect sightings, but these do not overshadow the overall positive experience.
**Staff:** The hotel's staff is consistently lauded for their friendliness and attentiveness. The owner, Ken, along with manager Marvin, receive special mentions for their exceptional hospitality. The team is described as welcoming, proactive and professional, contributing significantly to an inviting atmosphere.
**Free WiFi:** There are mixed reviews regarding the hotel's WiFi. While many attest to its reliability and strong signal, some guests experience occasional instability, particularly in the bedrooms. Nonetheless, the provision of free WiFi is appreciated and tends to serve most guests well.
**Pool:** The heated pool stands out as a desirable feature, praised for its cleanliness and pleasant, warm water. A well-maintained sunbathing area with ample towels enhances the experience, although the early closing time is a minor drawback for some guests.
**Parking:** Guests have varied experiences with parking. While many find plenty of spaces and appreciate the free, well-lit parking options, others encounter limitations in space, particularly during busy times. Overall, the parking situation is generally favorable.
**Beds:** Feedback on the beds is mixed. Many guests find them super comfortable, appreciating the quality and spaciousness, including king-sized options. However, a few report discomfort due to stiff mattresses or worn-out sofa beds. Despite some negative remarks, the beds are generally well-regarded for providing a restful sleep.
In summary, May-Dee Suites in Florida is highly recommended for its excellent location, spacious and clean rooms, friendly staff and enjoyable amenities. Minor areas for improvement do not significantly detract from the overall positive guest experience, making it a solid choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience.
