Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Ascot Grange Hotel - Voujon Restaurant enjoys a prime location, offering easy access to key areas such as Headingly, Kirkstall Abbey and Leeds city center. Its proximity to major roads, public transport, shops, bars and restaurants enhances its appeal, creating a convenient and vibrant atmosphere for both daytime exploration and nightlife activities. Ample parking facilities further add to the convenience, making it an ideal base for travelers planning to explore the area.
The hotel's attached Indian restaurant, Voujon, receives high praise for its excellent and delicious food, complemented by commendable service from the friendly and helpful staff. The convenience of having a high-quality dining option nearby is appreciated by many guests, contributing positively to their overall experience.
Guests find the rooms at Ascot Grange Hotel to be comfortable, clean and suited for budget-conscious travelers. The beds are often highlighted for their comfort with many guests enjoying a restful night's sleep. Cleanliness is a consistent theme with rooms maintained in a spotless condition, enhancing the sense of comfort and value for money. The hotel staff are frequently described as friendly, welcoming and accommodating, adding to the hospitable atmosphere.
The breakfast offering, while adequate for some, leaves others wishing for more variety and substantial options. The continental spread, including cereals, croissants and toast, is seen as good value, yet the absence of hot options like a full English breakfast is noted by several guests. Despite this, suggestions for improvements such as fresh fruit and more selection could enhance the breakfast experience.
Family travelers find the hotel suitable with spacious and clean family rooms providing ample storage and a comfortable ambiance. The value for money, particularly in the Headingley area and the friendly staff ensure a pleasant stay for families visiting nearby educational institutions or exploring Leeds.
The overall impression of Ascot Grange Hotel is that of a welcoming and practical lodging option, offering a blend of comfort, good value and convenience. While some areas could benefit from modernization and room updates, the positives—friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds and an excellent location—make it an attractive choice for visitors to Leeds.
