Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Kyriad Angoulême Nord Champniers - Hôtel & Résidence receives notable acclaim for its strategic location and overall value for money. Positioned conveniently on the outskirts of Angoulême and easily accessible from the highway N10, it provides an ideal stopover for travelers journeying between Spain and England. Guests appreciate the tranquil setting with rooms often opening onto a serene inner garden that enhances the calm atmosphere. The proximity to a good nearby restaurant and convenient overnight parking, particularly for those traveling with pets, further enriches the guest experience. Outdoor enthusiasts also find the wooded areas inviting for hiking.
Breakfast is widely praised for its quality and variety, described as hearty and plentiful with a good selection of fresh products, making for a robust start to the day. While the dining experience receives mixed feedback due to the restaurant’s inconsistent availability, the restaurant itself is commended for its tasty and reasonably priced meals when open.
The rooms are lauded for their spaciousness, cleanliness and comfort with the family rooms receiving special mention for their functionality. Recent renovations have enhanced the appeal of some rooms with modern furnishings and upgraded amenities, including air conditioning and private balconies. Despite the occasional comment about older bathroom facilities, the overall room experience aligns well with guest expectations.
Cleanliness is a standout feature with immaculate rooms and well-maintained facilities frequently highlighted. The staff also receives high praise for their friendliness, professionalism and readiness to assist, enhancing the overall welcoming atmosphere.
Parking at the hotel is convenient and secure with ample spaces located directly in front of the rooms, making it easy for travelers to load and unload their luggage. This adds to the hassle-free experience, further complemented by the tranquil garden views and overall organization of the property.
Families find the hotel especially accommodating, appreciating the spacious rooms, quiet environment and additional touches like balloons for young guests. Breakfast overlooking the garden is a particularly pleasant experience for family visitors.
Although the hotel stands out for its value, some guests note the facilities may not entirely meet the expectations of a three-star rating, due to elements like outdated decor and a few issues with bedding quality. Overall, Kyriad Angoulême Nord Champniers - Hôtel & Résidence provides a comfortable, clean and convenient lodging option for both short stays and extended visits, particularly for transit travelers.
