Penzion Zámecká Zahrada is a charming accommodation nestled in a beautifully maintained noble mansion with a location that strikes a perfect balance between tranquility and accessibility. Positioned just a little over a kilometer from the city center, it offers guests easy access to local attractions such as the renowned Castle Garden and the rotating theater, while providing a serene retreat surrounded by a vast forest and a lake. The guesthouse is well-connected for those traveling by car, making it an ideal choice for visitors looking to explore the picturesque locale of Krumau.
Guests generally appreciate the accommodations, noting the rooms for their cleanliness, spaciousness, and pleasant furnishings. The tranquil, quiet environment enhances the overall experience, despite some remarks about occasional room temperature issues and basic amenities. The architectural beauty of the mansion contributes to a visually appealing stay, with many guests highlighting the spacious bathrooms.
However, the breakfast experience receives mixed reviews, with many finding it simple and basic. While some guests find the offerings fresh, others note a lack of variety and quality, mentioning that the pricing could be more reflective of the selection provided.
Cleanliness reviews are mixed, with some praising the well-kept nature of the accommodations while others highlight issues such as cobwebs, dust, and a musty smell, which detract from the overall comfort.
Staff interactions vary greatly, with some guests appreciating the friendliness of certain members, while others report dissatisfaction due to rudeness and condescension. Encounters with the owner are generally negative, with frustrations cited about customer service and payment misunderstandings.
Parking is conveniently available right in front of the guesthouse, but comes with additional fees that are not always clearly communicated, leading to some dissatisfaction about cost expectations.
Opinions on the beds also vary, with some guests finding them comfortable, while others report issues with hard mattresses and creaky structures, contributing to discomfort during sleep. Despite these variances, many guests appreciate the quiet environment for a restful night's sleep.
Overall, Penzion Zámecká Zahrada offers a peaceful and accessible retreat with positive aspects in location and accommodations, although there is room for improvement in service, cleanliness, and breakfast offerings.
