Hotel Central stands out as a highly recommended option for travelers visiting Pécs, offering a strategic central location that marries convenience with tranquility. The hotel is a short walk from key attractions such as the Árkád shopping center and Széchenyi Square, as well as being easily accessible from the train and bus stations. Despite its centrality, it provides a peaceful environment, ensuring a comfortable stay.
The breakfast at Hotel Central receives consistent praise for its variety and quality, featuring a hearty buffet with scrambled eggs, cold cuts, fresh bread, cheese, yogurt and vegetables. The homely atmosphere and friendly staff enhance the breakfast experience, although the small dining area can become crowded at peak times. Some guests noted a lack of variety over extended stays, but overall, the breakfast is well-regarded.
Dinner options at the hotel also impress with commendations for the quality of food and the remarkable skill of the chef. The cleanliness of the dining areas contributes to a pleasant culinary experience, though reservations are recommended for the on-site restaurants.
Rooms at Hotel Central are consistently described as spacious, clean and comfortable. Amenities like air conditioning, refrigerators, kettles, safes and hairdryers are appreciated, while the cozy atmosphere and quiet environment add to the appeal. Renovated rooms receive positive feedback for their updated decor, though some rooms could benefit from modernizing and addressing minor maintenance issues.
Cleanliness is a strong point with many guests noting the impeccable condition of the rooms and bathrooms. Despite occasional reports of inconsistent cleaning standards, the overall impression is one of a well-maintained and tidy hotel.
