Züri by Fassbind in Zurich receives numerous positive reviews across several aspects, making it a highly recommended choice for both leisure and business travelers. Its prime location in Zurich West is one of its standout features. Nestled in a tranquil yet vibrant neighborhood, the hotel offers excellent connectivity to public transport, including proximate tram stops and the Hardbrücke station, making it easy to explore Zurich's main attractions. The hotel’s proximity to numerous bars, restaurants and cafes, alongside modern development, adds to its allure.
Rooms at Züri by Fassbind are frequently praised for their cleanliness, comfort and modern amenities. Guests highlight the spaciousness, fresh furnishings and excellent bathroom facilities, particularly noting the large showers and comfortable beds. The rooms are well-equipped with essentials like kettles and tea and coffee options, making them functional and welcoming. The staff also receive high marks for their friendliness and helpfulness with specific mentions of exceptional service from team members.
Cleanliness is another strong point for Züri by Fassbind with guests consistently commending the immaculate condition of both rooms and common areas. The modern and stylish décor further contributes to a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere, enhancing the overall guest experience.
While breakfast reviews are mixed, many guests appreciate the variety and quality of offerings with a good balance of sweet and savory options. However, some felt improvements could be made, particularly with the selection and quality of hot meals and found the breakfast area to be somewhat small and crowded.
The hotel also provides practical amenities useful for business travelers, such as a fully equipped, 24-hour accessible gym and sauna. The fitness facilities, despite some remarks on their small size and occasional odor, are generally seen as a valuable addition. Parking is another benefit, offering secure and affordable underground spaces, albeit with narrow spots that can be challenging for larger vehicles.
Wi-Fi quality receives mixed feedback; while many appreciate the free and stable connection, others report weak signals in certain rooms. Despite these challenges, the general sentiment leans towards a satisfactory internet experience with noted areas for improvement.
Overall, Züri by Fassbind combines a clean, modern and conveniently located environment with comfortable accommodations and attentive staff service, making it a solid choice for a variety of travelers. While a few aspects, such as breakfast and Wi-Fi, could see enhancements to meet four-star expectations more consistently, the hotel offers good value for money, especially for its central and practical location in Zurich.
