Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Grand Hotel Times Sherbrooke stands out as an attractive choice for visitors to Sherbrooke, largely due to its prime location and impressive aesthetics. The hotel is ideally nestled near the Lake of Nations, offering picturesque views and easy access to downtown, scenic walking trails, an array of restaurants and historic sites. Guests appreciate the serene surroundings, stylish modern design and high-quality bedding, which contribute to a tranquil and comfortable stay.
The rooms are a particular highlight, described as spacious, modern and luxurious with many offering stunning views of the lake. Cleanliness throughout the hotel is impeccable with guests frequently commending the meticulous room cleaning service and the pristine condition of both the rooms and common areas. The quality of sleep is generally high, thanks to comfortable and well-maintained beds and bedding, despite occasional mentions of varying mattress preferences and pillow sizes.
The staff at Grand Hotel Times Sherbrooke significantly enhance the guest experience. Generally praised for their friendliness, courtesy and bilingual capabilities, the employees provide a welcoming atmosphere and efficient service, particularly noted during check-ins.
While the hotel excites in many areas, there are some aspects that do not quite meet expectations. The breakfast experience is often seen as basic and not on par with the hotel's four-star rating with limited variety and charges not included in the room price. The pool, although pleasantly heated and well-maintained, is considered small and can sometimes be too crowded.
Parking is another mixed point, as guests feel the extra cost for parking should be included, considering the overall price of the stay. Furthermore, while the hotel provides free Wi-Fi, its reliability and speed can be inconsistent, particularly in the morning and evening hours.
In summary, Grand Hotel Times Sherbrooke is highly recommended for its convenient and charming location, excellent cleanliness and modern comforts. While there are areas for improvement, particularly with breakfast and Wi-Fi, the exceptional service and beautiful surroundings make it a top choice for travelers seeking a serene and well-appointed stay in Sherbrooke.
