Cecropia Ecolodge is a stunning retreat nestled within a lush rainforest, offering guests an unparalleled opportunity to immerse themselves in nature. Located about an hour from La Fortuna and Arenal, this secluded haven provides magnificent views and a serene atmosphere ideal for relaxation and reconnection with the natural world. Accessibility requires a four-wheel-drive vehicle due to its remote location, but the journey itself enhances the adventure.
Guests praise the delicious breakfast and dinner options available at Cecropia Ecolodge, crafted from fresh organic ingredients, often grown in the lodge's own garden. The meals, including delectable homemade banana pancakes and hearty Costa Rican dishes, are served in a setting that allows guests to enjoy the vibrant wildlife, including colorful birds and frogs, providing a unique dining experience. Nohelia's cooking is especially noted for its taste and presentation, making dining an unforgettable part of the stay.
The accommodations offer spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms surrounded by lush vegetation. Equipped with private terraces, basic kitchen facilities, and large windows overlooking the jungle, the lodges provide a rustic yet cozy escape. While some rooms may feel humid, this is outweighed by the tranquil and natural surroundings. The property is well-curated and maintained, further enhancing the visitor experience.
Guests often remark on the outstanding hospitality of the hosts, Nohelia and Jay, who are praised for their friendliness, attentiveness, and dedication to ecological preservation. Their passion for the land and its wildlife enriches the overall experience, creating a welcoming atmosphere that feels almost familial.
