Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Baymont by Wyndham Cookeville receives positive acclaim for its convenient and picturesque location just off the highway, offering beautiful views of the surrounding valley and ridgeline vistas. Guests appreciate the easy access to highways and nearby amenities, including a highly convenient Mexican restaurant just 100 feet away and various shops within a short distance. The hotel is particularly favorable for events like weddings, contributing to its practical benefits. Despite the need for some renovations, the quiet and pleasant atmosphere, coupled with friendly staff, enhances the overall experience.
Guests have mixed feelings about the breakfast offerings at Baymont by Wyndham Cookeville. While some found it satisfactory, others felt it lacked variety and quality, frequently mentioning limited options like waffles, cereal and pre-packaged items and noting the absence of fresh fruit and other staples. The early closure of breakfast service at 9 am did not suit everyone. However, some guests appreciated having complimentary breakfast available at all.
Rooms at the hotel are spacious and have received praise for their cleanliness and comfort, particularly the comfortable beds. Rooms are equipped with amenities such as large TVs, refrigerators and microwaves and some even feature patios or balconies. Though the hotel’s age shows through dated decor and dark hallways, many guests found the rooms cozy and appropriate for the price. Issues like musty smells and occasional severe cleanliness problems were noted but seemed to be exceptions.
Cleanliness reviews are mixed with many guests complimenting the hotel and its clean, neat spaces and commending housekeeping staff, especially Mary. However, several reviews indicated significant cleanliness issues, such as damp bedding, mold and dirty floors, suggesting room for improvement in this area.
The staff at Baymont by Wyndham Cookeville is frequently praised for their friendliness and efficiency. Specific staff members like Jordan, Crystal and housekeeping staff like Mary and Dee, receive commendations for their exceptional service and efforts to make guests feel welcome. Despite minor mentions of unwelcoming morning staff, the overall experience with the personnel is highly positive, enhancing the stay for many visitors.
The outdoor saltwater pool is a standout feature, frequently described as clean, well-kept and delightful for guests of all ages. The pool area with its beautiful and relaxing patio space, adds considerable value to the guest experience, though occasional mentions of it being closed suggest some operational inconsistencies.
In summary, Baymont by Wyndham Cookeville offers spacious, comfortable rooms in a convenient and scenic location, complemented by friendly and attentive staff. While breakfast and cleanliness show room for improvement, the comfortable beds, attractive pool and overall positive atmosphere contribute to a generally satisfying guest experience.
