Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
APA Hotel & Resort Joetsu Myoko is celebrated for its idyllic and serene location, offering a peaceful retreat set against stunning natural scenery. Guests often appreciate the breathtaking views from their rooms, particularly from the higher floors, which contribute to a relaxing ambiance. Despite its somewhat secluded setting, necessitating pre-planning for meals and supplies, the hotel serves as an excellent escape from urban hustle.
Breakfast at the resort receives high praise for its delicious and varied offerings, providing good value with a well-received buffet that includes marinated seafood and other diverse options. The refurbished breakfast room adds to the comfort, although some guests mention peak time crowding and preferences for live cooking stations. Overall, the breakfast experience remains satisfying to many.
The dinner offerings present a mixed bag, with many guests lauding the rich flavors and menu diversity, featuring dishes like shabu-shabu and course meals. However, some point out the price-to-service ratio could be more aligned, and certain diners felt the portion sizes could be larger. Accessibility for those without a car and the need for improved service are noted areas for enhancement.
Guests frequently commend the hotel rooms for their spaciousness and comfort, all while being affordably priced. Clean and well-maintained, the rooms often come with remarkable views, particularly of Mount Myoko, enhancing the stay's tranquility. A choice of pillow types caters to different preferences, though some found the beds a bit soft.
Cleanliness is typically regarded as excellent across the hotel, with guests noting immaculate rooms and bathrooms. While minor issues such as ineffective air conditioning and occasional noise or odor disturbances are mentioned, they do not detract significantly from the overall perception of cleanliness. The staff is consistently praised for their exceptional service, characterized by their polite and attentive demeanor. The ability of the staff to communicate effectively, particularly in English, adds to the convenience for international visitors, though there's a recognition of potential for further training in some areas.
In summary, APA Hotel & Resort Joetsu Myoko excels in providing a tranquil and scenic environment with highly praised service and comfortable accommodations, though some aspects like dinner pricing and air management could benefit from further improvements.
