Dalat Family Hostel garners overall positive reviews from guests, highlighted by its friendly staff and communal atmosphere. Located slightly away from the city center, the hostel offers a peaceful retreat with easy access to the Dalat night market and other attractions via a short Grab ride or free shuttle service. Although navigating steep hills can be challenging, the location is generally praised for its convenience to public transport and nearby entertainment.
The breakfast at the hostel is well-received for its affordability and taste, though guests suggest a variety of options could enhance the experience. Dinner is a standout feature with nightly family dinners praised for their delicious, varied and affordable meals that create a welcoming and social environment, ideal for solo travelers seeking to connect with others.
Room facilities and comfort receive commendations, especially the private rooms with their spacious, clean and well-equipped setups including hot showers and balconies. However, dormitory accommodations present mixed experiences with some rooms addressing privacy and comfort well while others suffer from issues like dampness, lack of ventilation or broken facilities.
Cleanliness at the hostel varies; while many guests appreciate the clean and modern rooms and communal areas, others report issues with dirty floors, mold and poorly maintained bathrooms and gym facilities. Nonetheless, some particular rooms are noted for their outstanding cleanliness.
The staff at Dalat Family Hostel are repeatedly lauded for their exceptional warmth and helpfulness, creating a familial atmosphere. Individual staff members frequently receive special mentions for their attentive service, adding significantly to the positive guest experience.
The gym, though well-equipped and providing a practical addition to the amenities, has mixed reviews regarding size and cleanliness. Despite some equipment needing attention, the facility is generally seen as a beneficial feature.
Lastly, bed comfort generally leans positive with many guests appreciating the private curtains and overall cleanliness. However, the firmness of the mattresses is a recurring issue with some guests experiencing discomfort.
