Sundance Resort Atami offers a serene escape for those seeking tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Nestled on a hill with peaceful, residential surroundings, it provides stunning views and a quiet atmosphere ideal for relaxation. Although the location's remoteness and steep access pose challenges, they are balanced by reasonable pricing and the immersive local experience it offers. The resort features ample parking, catering particularly well to guests with smaller vehicles due to the narrow, hilly roads leading to the property.
Dining at the resort is a highlight, with both breakfast and dinner delivered to the room for a leisurely, private culinary experience. Guests consistently praise the quality and presentation of the meals, particularly the Japanese-style breakfast and the standout seafood options at dinner. Both meals are well-integrated into the overall experience, with an inviting late checkout time allowing guests to savor their breakfast without rush.
The accommodations are noted for their spaciousness, cleanliness, and comfort. Rooms are well-maintained despite the hotel showing some age, featuring large TVs, YouTube access, and practical amenities like a spacious refrigerator. Guests enjoy stunning views from their rooms, further enhancing the ambiance. The resort's cleanliness is frequently commended, with immaculate rooms and shared facilities that provide a welcoming and worry-free environment. The large public bath is particularly popular, offering a relaxing experience with beautiful views.
