Champion Motel is favorably situated between two major expressways in RJ and is conveniently close to the airport, shopping malls and stores. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms and reasonable pricing, contributing to its overall appeal. The attentiveness and friendliness of the pool staff also enhance the experience with the pool area itself being a notable feature, although there are occasional concerns about cleanliness and maintenance.
The breakfast experience receives mixed reviews. While some guests find it good, cost-effective and served in a clean area, others feel it lacks variety and quality, indicating room for improvement, particularly in expanding the breakfast options.
Rooms at Champion Motel cater to both luxury and budget preferences, offering spacious and comfortable environments. Features like large beds, whirlpool baths, private pools and good TV quality are appreciated. The staff's prompt resolution of any issues, including room changes for faulty showers, is commendable. However, some guests have noted the older conditions of rooms on the right side, occasional musty smells and pest encounters, suggesting varied experiences based on room location and maintenance.
Guests' opinions on cleanliness are split. Many report clean and well-maintained suites, particularly the bedding and air conditioning. The pool is often highlighted as very clean with the cleaning staff receiving high praise. Nevertheless, other guests point out specific cleanliness and maintenance issues, such as dirty rooms, bathrooms, moldy smells and presence of pests, indicating an inconsistent upkeep standard.
Staff service overall is highlighted as a strong point of the motel. The majority of employees, especially in housekeeping and dining, are praised for their politeness, helpfulness and efficiency, contributing to a pleasant experience. However, the reception staff receives mixed reviews: some guests find them friendly and efficient, while others encounter unprofessional behavior and rudeness.
Internet connectivity is an area needing improvement with several guests reporting issues accessing both Wi-Fi and 4G networks. Problems obtaining the Wi-Fi password and lack of streaming services further contribute to the inconvenience.
The pool area offers a variety of amenities such as hot tubs, saunas and outdoor swimming pools, complete with LED lights and a waterfall. These features are generally well-received, though consistent maintenance is an issue, leading to reports of problems like dirty water, broken ladders and non-functional amenities.
As for the beds, feedback is mixed. Guests like the spacious, king-size beds and some find them comfortable. However, complaints about torn bed sheets, old linens, ripped mattresses and uncomfortable pillows indicate the necessity for significant improvements in bedding quality and maintenance.
In summary, Champion Motel offers good value with its convenient location, spacious rooms and friendly staff, though it faces notable challenges in maintenance, cleanliness consistency, breakfast variety and internet connectivity.

Capri Hotel impresses guests with its convenient location near Galeão Airport, making it a practical choice for travelers. The hotel offers easy access to transportation routes, Caxias Shopping Mall and essential amenities, which helps cater to both short stays and layovers. The close proximity to the airport is highly appreciated, despite occasional setbacks like traffic noise and an initially confusing shared entrance with a motel. While the distance from Rio's city center and main attractions might be a drawback for some, the hotel's overall cost-effectiveness, cleanliness and decent service provide a balanced stay.
The breakfast experience at Capri Hotel is highlighted as a standout feature. Guests consistently praise the meal as fantastic with a wide variety of options catering to all tastes. The generous portions, abundance and high quality of food, particularly the excellent coffee, contribute to a highly satisfying breakfast experience. Although a few concerns were raised about the freshness of the fruit and occasional banana flies, these do not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback. The breakfast is a delightful way to start the day, underpinned by attentive and friendly staff.
Dining at Capri Hotel is generally well-received, especially the 24-hour restaurant known for its excellent food and well-served meals. The fish dinner is a particular favorite. Despite the high cost of food and bottled water and occasional slow service, the guests appreciate the good dining options and large meal portions. The electronic menu could benefit from improvements, but overall, the delicious offerings and good service contribute to a pleasant dining experience.
Guests frequently commend the spaciousness and comfort of the rooms, noting their cleanliness and modern design. While occasional issues with noise, outdated décor and inadequate soundproofing were mentioned, the overall feedback indicates that the rooms are well-maintained, comfortable and provide a relaxing environment. The hotel staff's friendliness and helpfulness further enhance the guest experience.
Cleanliness at Capri Hotel receives significant praise with many guests describing the rooms as immaculate and well-kept. Staff attentiveness plays a key role in maintaining this high standard. Though there were occasional lapses in cleanliness like grubby towels and dusty corners, these instances are not common and do not overshadow the generally positive sentiment regarding the hotel's hygiene.
The hotel staff is consistently commended for their politeness, helpfulness and efficiency. Guests appreciate the proactive and friendly reception staff, as well as the courteous and attentive service from the cleaning and wait staff. While there were minor comments about food service notifications and empathy levels, the overwhelmingly positive feedback underscores the staff's contribution to a welcoming and pleasant stay.
Capri Hotel's Wi-Fi is generally reliable and strong, although a few guests experienced issues on the second floor. The overall positive feedback suggests that the hotel's internet service effectively meets guest needs.
The provision of free parking, including spaces for electric vehicle charging, is a notable amenity despite the parking not being covered and requiring a walk through a motel area. The parking entrance's location after a curve may necessitate caution.
The beds receive mixed reviews with many guests praising their comfort and clean linens. However, some reviews cited issues with bed hardness, worn-out mattresses and stained linens, indicating variability in maintenance.
As a three-star hotel, Capri Hotel delivers good value for money, particularly appreciated for its safe location and affordability. Despite some noise issues, the favorable price-to-service ratio, generous breakfast and overall cost-effectiveness make it a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers.
The adult-only aspect and shared premises with a motel create a unique environment, which might not suit families. While some aspects like the electronic menu require improvements, the hotel maintains its three-star standards and appeals primarily to adults seeking a tailored getaway.
