Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Globales Costa de la Calma receives generally favorable reviews across various categories, making it a well-regarded choice for families, couples and travelers seeking a balance of relaxation and convenience.
The hotel's prime location is one of its standout features, offering easy access to local amenities, shops and restaurants, as well as the charm of nearby chiringuitos. The proximity to public transportation, including a bus stop right in front, makes it ideal for exploring the island and reaching popular destinations like Palma. While not directly on the seafront, the hotel’s placement within a manageable distance from Santa Ponsa's center and beach ensures that guests can enjoy both tranquility and vibrant local life. Good parking options are particularly appreciated by those traveling by car.
Breakfast and dining experiences at the hotel receive mixed reviews. The breakfast is praised for its taste and quality, although there are comments on the lack of variety and slower service due to the absence of a buffet. The breakfast price is considered high by some. The poolside snack bar, however, garners positive feedback for its delicious and fresh offerings. Despite this, some guests find the food and drink prices steep and there are noted delays in service. An additional downside is the lack of options for purchasing food or drink after 6 PM and the absence of evening meal services, which necessitates dining out.
Guest rooms at the hotel are widely acclaimed as spacious, clean, modern and comfortable. This is particularly beneficial for families with apartments featuring well-equipped kitchen facilities and large balconies with pleasant views. Regular housekeeping and a welcoming decor further enhance the stay. Guests feel they receive good value for their money, even without included meals.
Cleanliness across the hotel is consistently highlighted with the property being described as exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The newly renovated facilities add to the guests' positive perception. While some variability in room cleaning quality over time is noted, the overall impression remains strongly positive.
The hotel's staff is another significant highlight, receiving high praise for their exceptional service and friendliness. Guests commend the staff's dedication and helpfulness, particularly mentioning individuals at the reception and pool bar. This high level of customer service substantially contributes to a pleasant and comfortable stay.
The pool facilities at Globales Costa de la Calma are lauded as excellent, particularly for families. The large, well-maintained pools have distinct areas for adults and children with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. The children's pool, featuring slides and a paddling area, is particularly popular among young guests, supported by a kids' entertainer who enhances the experience further. Despite limited pool hours and occasional maintenance issues, guests find the pool area a major benefit of the hotel.
Beds at the hotel generally receive positive remarks for their comfort and quality, although there are occasional mentions of overly firm mattresses and double beds consisting of two separate mattresses. Still, guests feel the beds contribute to a satisfactory sleep experience.
In summary, Globales Costa de la Calma offers a well-rounded and enjoyable stay, particularly excelling in location, cleanliness, family-friendly amenities and exceptional staff service. While there are some areas for improvement in dining options and service efficiency, the hotel remains a strong choice for a comfortable and fun vacation.
