Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Troia Hotel enjoys a highly favorable location, making it an excellent choice for guests attending events in the picturesque village of Amares. The hotel is convenient for event-goers due to its proximity to numerous wedding venues and local attractions. Set amidst scenic vineyards, the tranquil atmosphere further enhances its charm. Guests also appreciate the easy access to a supermarket and the comfort of its surroundings, as well as the private, restricted-access parking available for visitors.
The on-site restaurant is another highlight with guests praising the superb quality and delicious flavors of the food, particularly the traditional regional dishes like the Tróia codfish. Dining on the terrace is a crowd favorite and the restaurant collectively earns high marks for its ambiance and reasonable pricing. Despite mixed reviews on breakfast, positive comments include appreciation for its plentiful offerings and special lactose-free options.
Room accommodations at Troia Hotel are generally well-received, noted for their spaciousness, brightness and comfort. Guests appreciate the clean and organized rooms, equipped with necessary amenities like air conditioning, heating and comfortable towels. The cleanliness of the hotel, from rooms to common areas, is commendable, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, some areas for improvement include soundproofing, modernizing the decor and addressing minor cleanliness issues such as moldy wardrobes or stains.
The staff at Troia Hotel receives high praise for their friendliness and helpfulness, enhancing guests’ overall experience with their attentive and efficient service. Their warm interactions contribute significantly to the hospitality the hotel is known for.
The pool area is particularly admired, being described as big, clean and relaxing. Though there are some comments about limited sun loungers and early closing times, the pool remains a standout feature that guests thoroughly enjoy. Parking facilities at the hotel are ample and convenient, offering both covered and spacious spots even for larger vehicles like tourist buses. Although some guests experience difficulties finding parking at night, the overall service is considered satisfactory.
Troia Hotel’s beds receive mixed reviews with many guests finding them comfortable and appreciating their quality. However, opinions on mattress firmness vary with some guests suggesting the need for updates to the bedding.
