Ferien Hotel Spreewald, nestled in a serene rural setting at the picturesque tip of the Spreewald region, offers an ideal retreat for nature enthusiasts and those seeking tranquility. Guests frequently praise the hotel's peaceful ambiance, pleasant spacious rooms and convenient location for exploring the natural beauty of Spreewald and the surrounding Cottbus area. The blend of accessibility and solitude is further enhanced by easy parking and a large, inviting pool that adds to the hotel's charm.
Breakfast at Ferien Hotel Spreewald is highly regarded with guests appreciating the variety, tastiness and plentiful options available in the buffet. The friendly staff and lovingly prepared dishes contribute to a delightful morning experience, although occasional mentions are made about the need for improvement in coffee quality and freshness. Despite these minor issues, the overall consensus is positive, noting the extensive and rich selection that caters to various tastes and early risers.
Dinner options at the hotel receive mixed reviews. While many guests commend the deliciousness and sufficiency of both the buffet and à la carte options, including a children’s menu, others note issues with food not being replenished and a lack of variety. The price-performance ratio is generally good, but some guests found the expense of separately paid dinners to be high.
Room accommodations are clean and well-kept, though some are smaller, especially attic rooms with sloped ceilings and may lack air conditioning. Larger family rooms with extra features are available, though dated bathrooms and small sizes are points of contention. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, however, help offset these shortcomings, making the hotel suitable for shorter stays.
Cleanliness is consistently praised with rooms and public areas described as very clean and well-arranged. The pool area is beautiful and well-maintained, providing a refreshing escape with ample loungers and benches. Despite a few issues such as small shower spaces and occasional dog hairs, guests generally affirm the hotel's high standards of cleanliness and comfort.
The standout feature of Ferien Hotel Spreewald is its staff, who are described as very friendly, polite and accommodating. Guests frequently note the staff's willingness to go above and beyond, their competence and helpfulness in enhancing the overall experience.
The pool is a major highlight, appreciated for its size, cleanliness and quiet environment, ideal for relaxation and family enjoyment. Although a few guests mention occasional cleanliness issues and the pool being smaller than photos suggest, the overall sentiment is positive.
Regarding beds, feedback is diverse. While some guests find them comfortable, a notable number find the mattresses too hard and noisy and point to the narrowness of the beds and a lack of practical details in the bathrooms as areas needing improvement.
In summary, Ferien Hotel Spreewald is praised for its serene location, cleanliness, friendly staff, delightful breakfast and relaxing pool area, making it a favorable choice for nature-centric escapes and convenient exploration of the Spreewald region. However, potential guests should be mindful of mixed reviews regarding dinner options and bedding comfort.
