The Islander Hotel & Resort in Emerald Isle garners consistent praise for its prime beachfront location. Guests appreciate the convenience of direct beach access and the proximity to local shops, restaurants and attractions, making it a favorite for beach enthusiasts and families alike. The hotel's serene oceanfront setting provides a perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility, enhancing the overall vacation experience.
Despite a notable absence of breakfast options on-site, guests find the coffee in the check-in area to be a nice touch and manage well with nearby dining alternatives. Evening meals are well-catered for by the plethora of excellent restaurants and cafes within walking distance, ensuring visitors have varied and enjoyable dining options. Poolside dining also receives favorable mentions, adding to the resort’s overall appeal.
The resort’s renovated rooms are widely praised for their cleanliness, spaciousness and modern amenities. Guests appreciate features like large beds, kitchenettes and multiple TVs. Some minor suggestions for improvement include better lighting, enhanced bathroom ventilation and slightly more cozy furnishings. Nevertheless, the overall comfort and cleanliness contribute significantly to guest satisfaction.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel is a standout feature. Rooms and common areas, including the lobby and pool, are consistently described as spotless. While there are occasional minor issues such as sandy floors or musty odors, these are generally isolated incidents.
The staff at the Islander Hotel & Resort is frequently highlighted for their friendliness and helpfulness. The front desk personnel are noted for their professionalism and efficiency with special mentions of individual staff members who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Housekeeping also receives commendations for their thoroughness.
Guests’ experiences with the complimentary Wi-Fi are mixed. While many report fast and reliable connections, others experience inconsistent service with slow speeds and occasional inaccessibility. Nonetheless, the availability of Wi-Fi is a valued feature for many.
The pool area is a significant draw, appreciated for its cleanliness, ample seating and oceanfront views. Features like shaded cabanas, a poolside bar and child-friendly facilities contribute to the enjoyable atmosphere. Reports of occasional maintenance issues do not substantially detract from the overall positive impression of the pool.
Parking is generally straightforward and plentiful with the convenience of easy access frequently mentioned. Some minor critiques involve occasional difficulties in finding spots, but these are not widespread concerns.
Families find the resort particularly appealing, thanks to its spacious rooms, family-friendly amenities and welcoming environment. The resort’s staff is accommodating to families, frequently going the extra mile to ensure a comfortable stay, making the Islander Hotel & Resort a top choice for a family vacation.
Bed comfort is generally well-reviewed with most guests praising the size and softness of the mattresses. While there are a few mentions of worn or uncomfortable beds, these do not overshadow the overall positive feedback.
As a three-star property, the Islander Hotel & Resort offers strong value with its beachfront location, comfortable accommodations and friendly service. While it has areas for improvement, it delivers a satisfying experience for budget-conscious travelers seeking a well-rounded beachfront vacation.
