Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The 'ibis Budget Brussels South Ruisbroek' hotel offers a commendable budget-friendly accommodation option with notable features and a few areas for improvement.
Located in the quiet residential neighborhood of Ruisbroek, the hotel boasts a strategic and convenient location for travelers who wish to explore Brussels without the chaos of the city center. Its proximity to the highway and the Ruisbroek train station makes it easy to access Brussels Central in about fifteen minutes. The quiet environment, complemented by nearby supermarkets, restaurants and public transport options, further enhances its appeal. While the area is somewhat industrial and some guests occasionally mentioned difficulties in locating the hotel, the overall consensus is that it's a well-connected, tranquil and practical base for exploring Brussels.
Guests praised the breakfast for its affordability and generous spread, noting options like coffee and vegetarian choices. While the breakfast service was friendly, some guests felt improvements in variety and organization could elevate the experience, suggesting the addition of more choices and fresher ingredients.
The rooms, described as compact but functional, were appreciated for their cleanliness and soundproofing, making them suitable for short stays. Some guests noted the lack of amenities such as storage space, power outlets and better ventilation systems. Despite these drawbacks, the rooms met the basic needs of most travelers, providing a clean and quiet sleeping environment.
Cleanliness across the hotel had mixed reviews. While many guests found their rooms and the overall hotel clean and well-kept, others reported issues like dusty surfaces, stained sheets and inadequate daily cleaning. Despite these concerns, the hotel remains an economical choice with helpful and friendly staff contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.
The staff are frequently highlighted for their friendliness, professionalism and attentiveness. Many guests appreciated the warm and welcoming service, especially from the reception staff, resulting in an overall positive experience despite occasional slow service.
WiFi at the hotel generally worked well and was appreciated by many guests for its reliability. However, some encountered slow or inconsistent connections. Similarly, while the parking was secure and convenient, the additional cost of 10 euros per night received criticism for being excessive and not always clearly communicated.
The hotel is somewhat family-friendly, offering clean and comfortable rooms with a nearby playground. However, the small room size and lack of privacy in triple rooms were points of concern for families. While the beds received mixed reviews—many found them comfortable and supportive, while others reported issues with mattress quality and inadequate pillows—the general consensus was they meet basic needs.
Accessibility is one of the hotel’s strengths with many guests appreciating its convenient location near public transport and highways. However, the absence of elevators posed challenges and certain aspects of the bathroom design lacked privacy.
Lastly, the hotel is dog-friendly, welcoming pets with a nominal charge, although there were limitations on accessing certain areas like the breakfast room with pets.
In summary, 'ibis Budget Brussels South Ruisbroek' offers a strategic, budget-friendly stay with convenient access to Brussels, friendly staff and basic but functional amenities. Improvements in room amenities, cleanliness, breakfast variety and clear communication regarding additional costs could enhance the overall guest experience.
