Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hôtel Les Iris, situated in the charming region of Normandy, enjoys a superb location just meters from the city center of Les Andelys. The peaceful yet accessible setting allows guests to explore local shops, restaurants and attractions easily while providing a serene retreat. The nearby parking adds to the convenience, making it an ideal spot for various events, including wedding receptions.
The hotel has received positive feedback for its breakfast offerings, which many guests describe as hearty, plentiful and diverse. Although there is room for improvement, particularly in replenishment and offering more fresh, higher-quality items, many patrons enjoy the abundance and variety available.
The rooms are generally clean, bright and comfortable, particularly suited for shorter stays. Guests commend the cleanliness and the up-to-date equipment, though some find the rooms small and the bathrooms narrow with occasional drainage issues. Noise insulation is also a concern for some and the comfort of the beds receives mixed reviews.
Cleanliness standards are praised by many with guests appreciating the clean environment and the staff's dedication to maintaining hygiene. However, there are frequent mentions of dust in hard-to-reach places and the need for better floor cleanliness and routine cleaning services, including during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The staff at Hôtel Les Iris receive high marks for their friendliness and kindness, contributing significantly to a welcoming atmosphere. The reception team, especially, gets positive mentions for their helpful and accommodating demeanor, though there are occasional reports of less friendly interactions.
Opinions on the beds are mixed with some guests finding them comfortable and others encountering issues like sagging mattresses and discomfort due to springs. The size of the bedding and pillows also comes up as a concern for a few guests.
Overall, Hôtel Les Iris offers a delightful base for travelers looking to enjoy Les Andelys, characterized by its excellent location, welcoming staff and generally clean and comfortable accommodations. Improvements in breakfast quality, room and bathroom size, noise insulation and bedding consistency could elevate the guest experience further.
