Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
La Buffonnerie provides guests with a uniquely enchanting experience, set against the backdrop of a beautifully maintained flower garden and a charming medieval village. The location offers tranquility and is ideal for exploring the castles and mansions of Burgundy, providing a perfect escape into the serene countryside. Guests consistently praise the welcoming atmosphere, largely attributed to Clotilde, the gracious hostess known for her warmth and attentiveness. Her hospitality extends to the dining experience, where meals are characterized by traditional freshness with dishes like pot-au-feu and homemade pavlova, enjoyed in the tranquil garden setting.
The culinary offerings continue with a delightful breakfast, lauded for its homemade jams and fresh breads, aligning with the authentic atmosphere of the manor house. While a broader range of savory options is sometimes desired, the dedication to providing a hearty, refined breakfast is clear. The historically rich rooms add to the charm with their spaciousness, comfort, and thoughtful decor, offering picturesque garden views to complete the cozy country house ambiance.
Cleanliness is frequently highlighted, with the property meticulously maintained both inside and out. Despite minor remarks about bathroom improvements, guests appreciate the superb upkeep and the well-maintained garden. The beds, draped in luxurious linens, ensure restful nights although some find the mattresses slightly soft. Overall, La Buffonnerie's combination of beautiful surroundings, thoughtful dining, and exceptional service make it a memorable destination for those seeking relaxation and beauty in a historic and tranquil setting.
