Casa Azul Hotel Blu-UBS Arena has earned a positive reputation for several aspects, notably its advantageous location. Strategically placed near key transportation hubs such as the Queens Village LIRR station and various bus stops, the hotel ensures easy access to Manhattan and JFK Airport. Its close proximity to UBS Arena makes it a prime choice for event-goers, while the surrounding area offers plenty of dining and retail options within walking distance. Guests also appreciate the quiet and peaceful neighborhood, which adds to the overall appeal.
When it comes to rooms, many guests commend the spaciousness, modern decor and comfort with amenities such as large TVs, comfy beds and good showers being particularly well-received. Although some have raised concerns about cleanliness and noise disturbances, the majority find the rooms satisfactory and appropriate for a comfortable stay.
The hotel's cleanliness receives mixed reviews. Many guests find the property and rooms exceptionally clean and true to their advertised pictures. However, others report issues like unclean bathrooms, stained linens and unpleasant odors, indicating that cleanliness might vary from one stay to another.
The staff generally receive positive feedback for their friendliness and helpfulness, particularly during check-in. But there have been instances of unprofessionalism and disorganization, reflecting an inconsistency in service. Despite this, guests frequently mention the staff’s accommodating nature and promptness in addressing requests.
The Wi-Fi experience varies with some guests praising its reliability and speed, while others note the necessity of being near the lobby for a consistent connection. Nonetheless, when functional, the Wi-Fi serves as a significant advantage for those needing stable internet access.
Parking is a standout feature of Casa Azul Hotel Blu-UBS Arena. The ample, free parking spaces, secure with video cameras, are highly appreciated. The ease of access to the parking lot and its proximity to transport links add to the hotel's convenience.
Though breakfast is not offered onsite, there are many nearby facilities that provide various meal options. Similarly, local dining for dinner is applauded for quality and convenience, although guest recommendations often lack reliability.
The hotel’s beds receive accolades for being large, comfortable and clean, significantly enhancing the guest experience. While there are occasional mentions of subpar linen quality and worn-out beds, the overall feedback on comfort remains positive.
In summary, Casa Azul Hotel Blu-UBS Arena is highly valued for its strategic location, comfortable rooms and ample parking. While there are areas for improvement, particularly in housekeeping consistency and breakfast offerings, the positive aspects typically outweigh the negatives, making it a commendable choice for travelers.
