This proximity makes it an ideal stopover for those embarking on or disembarking from a ferry, as well as for travelers heading further north to Dublin.
Guests frequently highlight the spaciousness and cleanliness of the rooms. The accommodations are described as being both comfortable and family-friendly with ample space in both rooms and bathrooms. While the decor may be somewhat dated, the overall cleanliness and maintenance are praised. Some minor issues are noted, such as occasional noise from common areas and outdated interiors, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive impression. The beds receive mixed reviews with many guests praising their comfort and some noting issues like mattresses dipping or firmness.
Breakfast at Ferryport House B&B is well-received with the full Irish breakfast standing out for its quality and taste. Ample portions and friendly service enhance this experience, although some guests feel the breakfast is pricey and the 6:30 AM start time inconvenient for early travelers. Dinner options are varied due to the adjacent restaurant, The Dock, which receives praise for its meals and pizza. When the in-house restaurant is closed, nearby pubs and restaurants provide excellent alternatives, often recommended by the helpful staff.
