Hotel Ristorante Vecchia Riva has garnered extensive praise for its prime location, situated serenely on the shores of Lake Varese. Guests are consistently enamored with the tranquil and picturesque setting, ideal for relaxation and outdoor activities with easy access to nearby bike paths and other scenic lakes. The hotel's proximity to main roads also enhances its accessibility. Exceptional service by the friendly and welcoming staff enhances the overall experience, contributing to a memorable stay.
The sumptuous breakfast offered is another highlight, featuring a varied and extensive buffet with sweet and savory options served in a picturesque lakeside setting. Despite minor critiques about the freshness and replenishment of certain items, the attentive service and delightful coffee make for a satisfactory start to the day.
Dining at the hotel's restaurant is celebrated for its high-quality Italian cuisine, served both indoors and in an appealing lakeside outdoor setting. The restaurant’s vibrant and authentic Italian atmosphere, complemented by an excellent selection of wines and moderate pricing, adds to the guests' dining pleasure, notwithstanding occasional service inconsistencies and the restaurant being closed on Wednesdays.
The rooms at Hotel Ristorante Vecchia Riva are frequently praised for their spaciousness, cleanliness and comfort. Cleanliness is a consistent standout with rooms and common areas described as spotless and well-maintained. Although some rooms feature dated furniture and occasional bed discomfort, the overall feedback emphasizes a serene and appealing environment, enhanced by large bathrooms and stunning views from balconies overlooking the lake.
The beds are frequently commended for their exceptional comfort, catering well even to taller guests with sizable and high-quality bedding that ensures a restful night's sleep. This comfort is a significant factor contributing to positive guest experiences.
