Rodeway Inn West Point, MS is praised for its advantageous location, offering easy access to major highways and being conveniently situated on Main Street with proximity to businesses and eateries. Guests benefit from its strategic position for travel between Columbus and Starkville, as well as visits to Mississippi State University, all while enjoying clean, comfortable accommodations at competitive prices. The quiet surroundings contribute to a restful stay, with the location being a highlight for many visitors.
The staff at the hotel are consistently noted for their friendliness and accommodating nature, enhancing the guest experience. Their polite and informative demeanor ensures smooth check-in and check-out processes, with a focus on hospitality that guests frequently commend. While a few areas of improvement are noted, the team is largely appreciated for its helpful and efficient service, especially when handling guest requests.
However, the hotel faces challenges in room maintenance and cleanliness, with guests pinpointing the need for updates and repairs. Rooms are often dimly lit, and bathrooms require modernization to address issues like water damage and loose fixtures. Cleanliness concerns are evident, with remarks about unclean floors, unpleasant odors, and structural issues in need of attention.
The breakfast experience is simple and geared towards a quick, grab-and-go option, primarily featuring packaged foods. While some guests find it adequate given the hotel’s overall value, others note the limitations in variety and reliability of advertised amenities. The absence of hot options and occasional issues with drink machines highlight areas needing improvement to meet guest expectations fully.
Overall, while the hotel's location and staff contribute positively to guest experiences, improvements in room conditions, cleanliness, and breakfast offerings would significantly enhance the overall stay for future patrons.
