Hillcrest Inn is celebrated for its exceptional location directly across from the beach, where guests enjoy stunning ocean views and convenient access to a variety of seaside activities. The central placement in downtown Hampton Beach allows visitors to be at the heart of shopping, dining, and entertainment, enhanced by the ease of free parking. The hotel's prime location makes it ideal for families, couples, and solo travelers seeking a hassle-free and vibrant stay. The welcoming and warm staff, notably Dave at the front desk, contribute positively to the experience, providing outstanding hospitality and making guests feel at home.
While the pool receives mixed feedback, many reviews praise its cleanliness and relaxing ambiance, further complemented by the kindness of associated staff members. The beachfront access with captivating views from the balcony stands out as a significant attraction, enhancing the overall experience for beach lovers. Though the parking facilities have some challenges with tight spaces and distant spots, many find them convenient, appreciating the availability of passes.
Despite the hotel's charming architecture, room size and outdated amenities pose limitations for some visitors. Guests enjoy the cleanliness of the rooms and appreciate the convenience of air conditioning and mini fridges, though improvements in decor and facilities would enhance comfort further. The beds have mixed reviews, with some guests finding them too firm or lacking essential features, suggesting room for improvement. While there's room for enhancement in breakfast offerings and cleanliness, Hillcrest Inn's prime location and friendly staff remain its most celebrated aspects, making it a preferred choice for those prioritizing location and hospitality.
