'Good Morning+ Halmstad' is a generally well-regarded hotel that stands out for its convenient location, friendly staff and practical amenities, making it a practical choice for both families and travelers in transit. Positioned right off the E6 highway, the hotel is easily accessible and offers ample parking, which many guests appreciated. Its proximity to the Hallarna shopping center and the Halmstad Arena provides guests with various dining and shopping options, as well as a short drive to downtown Halmstad and nearby beaches.
The breakfast receives mixed reviews; it is often praised for its variety and quality with highlights being delicious bread and the world's tastiest bacon and scrambled eggs. However, some guests felt it was poorly organized with items running out quickly and staff struggling to keep up with demand. Despite these issues, most guests found it to be satisfactory and a good value for money.
Dinner at the hotel receives more critical feedback. While some guests enjoyed the meals, many expressed dissatisfaction with the limited menu, quality of the food and high prices. Issues such as overcooked and tasteless dishes, long waiting times and an impersonal dining atmosphere were common complaints.
Room experiences are generally positive with most guests praising the cleanliness, modern amenities and pleasant views, particularly from the higher floors. Practical touches like comfortable beds and decent air conditioning add to the comfort. However, some guests found the rooms and bathrooms to be on the smaller side and noted occasional maintenance issues like faulty air conditioning and clogged drains. Despite this, the hotel is seen as a clean and comfortable place to stay, especially for families.
The staff at 'Good Morning+ Halmstad' are consistently highlighted as friendly, welcoming and helpful, particularly those at the reception. This positive feedback contributes significantly to the overall guest experience. However, service in the restaurant could see improvements, as some guests felt the staff there were less attentive and the hotel was occasionally understaffed.
The hotel's cleanliness is generally a strong point with rooms and facilities frequently described as clean and tidy. Nonetheless, there are sporadic reports of inconsistent cleaning with issues such as litter under beds and inadequately cleaned bathrooms mentioned.
For families, the hotel offers practical accommodations, though the family rooms can feel cramped for larger groups. Comfortable beds and varied breakfast options are noted as strengths, but layout and space improvements could enhance the experience.
Free Wi-Fi is appreciated by guests, though there are occasional reports of slow and unstable connections.
Accessibility is another strong point with easy access from the main road, ample free parking and an elevator within the hotel. However, reaching public transportation at night can be challenging.
Finally, the hotel is dog-friendly with clean and welcoming rooms for pets. While the overall sentiment is positive, clarity on dog fees could be improved.
In summary, 'Good Morning+ Halmstad' is a practical and well-placed choice for travelers, offering friendly service, clean accommodations and convenient amenities, though some areas such as dining and room size could see improvements.
