MainStay Suites Chicago Hillside receives overall positive feedback from guests, particularly in terms of location, room features, and staff service. The hotel's strategic location near major highways and its proximity to downtown Chicago make it an attractive choice for travelers aiming to balance accessibility and tranquility. Guests appreciate the nearby shopping and dining options, as well as the calm and peaceful neighborhood, which enhance the overall experience.
The rooms are frequently praised for their spaciousness, modern decor, and practical amenities, such as a kitchenette with appliances that enable convenient in-room dining. Cleanliness in rooms is often highlighted, with many guests enjoying fresh linens and a noticeable level of tidiness. Although some have reported lapses in maintenance, such as minor cleanliness issues, the prompt assistance from friendly staff helps mitigate concerns. The staff receive high acclaim for their professional and accommodating approach, with specific team members often mentioned for their exceptional service.
The comfort of the beds contributes to restful stays, despite occasional mentions of infrequent issues related to bed firmness. However, the majority of guests find the sleeping arrangements satisfactory, often complemented by an efficient check-in process and overall warm hospitality.
The breakfast service is where guest experiences vary, with some expressing disappointment at inconsistency, while others enjoy the typical breakfast offerings. Nevertheless, the general consensus is that the hotel provides decent value, especially given its pricing and the level of service received.
