Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hotel-Gasthof Deixelberger, nestled in a serene and picturesque high-altitude setting, offers an idyllic retreat for those seeking peace, relaxation and a connection to nature. Its location provides stunning panoramic views of surrounding valleys and mountains, making it perfect for hiking, cycling and other outdoor activities, while remaining conveniently close to the highway for easy access. Guests consistently highlight the tranquil atmosphere, comfortable accommodations and the combination of traditional Austrian hospitality and modern amenities.
The breakfast at Hotel-Gasthof Deixelberger is highly praised for its rich flavors and generous portions with a focus on local and homemade products like fresh cheese and cold cuts. The breakfast is served directly at the table, adding to the cozy and charming experience, despite some minor gaps in variety with no juice, yogurt, cereal or fruit offered. Guests appreciate the serene ambiance of the breakfast room and the warm, friendly service.
Dinner at the hotel stands out as an exceptional highlight with numerous reviews praising the delicious, high-quality and expertly prepared meals. Traditional dishes such as Wiener Schnitzel and regionally sourced ingredients are frequently lauded, along with the lovely ambiance and stunning terrace views. The attentive and friendly service further enhances the dining experience, making it a memorable culinary stop.
The rooms at Hotel-Gasthof Deixelberger are clean, comfortable and well-appointed, featuring rustic decor with wooden furniture and carpeted floors. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, functionality and scenic views from the balconies. Despite some reviews noting outdated decor and the absence of window mosquito nets, the rooms maintain a tidy and cozy atmosphere, ensuring a restful stay.
Cleanliness is consistently highlighted as a strong point with many guests appreciating the spotless conditions of the rooms and property. This meticulous upkeep contributes to a positive overall impression, making it an appealing choice for hygiene-conscious travelers.
The staff at Hotel-Gasthof Deixelberger are highly commended for their exceptional friendliness and welcoming demeanor. Guests praise the helpfulness, attentiveness and family-run atmosphere, which adds a personal touch to the stay. The staff's commitment to providing a top-notch experience is evident through their approachability and willingness to assist with any needs, including accommodating pets.
While the Wi-Fi receives mixed feedback, being weak and unreliable, especially on the second floor, the ample free parking options, including secure garage facilities and covered areas for motorcyclists, are well-regarded by guests. The hotel also appeals to families with its child-friendly environment and locally sourced products from their own family farm, enhancing the authenticity of the experience.
The beds are generally praised for their comfort, though some minor improvements could be made, such as addressing the softness of mattresses and ensuring quiet furniture. Overall, the comfortable beds contribute significantly to a restful night's sleep.
Hotel-Gasthof Deixelberger is recognized for providing a solid three-star experience with above-average quality and amenities. While some perceive the pricing as higher for its rating, the consistent praise for the food, comfort and thoughtful room upgrades affirm that it meets and often exceeds expectations for this category. Despite limited internet access, the hotel remains a viable option for business travelers, offering essential facilities like a conference room and a distraction-free environment conducive to productivity.
In summary, Hotel-Gasthof Deixelberger is celebrated for its beautiful setting, excellent dining, cleanliness, friendly staff and comfortable accommodations, making it a charming and worthwhile destination for travelers seeking a blend of tranquility and authentic Austrian hospitality.
