Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Flemington Hotel is praised for its exceptional location, offering stunning views of Taiping Lake Gardens and convenient proximity to Taman Tasik Taiping, the zoo and various local attractions. Guests commend the serene and beautiful environment, which is perfect for leisurely walks and easy access to the city center, food courts, cafes and eateries.
Breakfast receives positive feedback for its delicious taste, reasonable pricing and a good variety of local and western options, despite some criticism regarding limited choices and the need for better food replenishment. Dinner options, particularly the Chinese restaurant on the 1st and 2nd floors, are noted for their authentic flavors and reasonable prices, though room service and a la carte options at the hotel’s cafe see mixed reviews. In-house dining remains a flexible and convenient choice for many guests.
Rooms offer spacious accommodations with beautiful lake views, although cleanliness and maintenance can be inconsistent. There are positive mentions of clean and tidy rooms, but issues such as dust, hair on bathroom floors, musty smells and outdated furnishings are also reported. Some guests found their rooms comfortable and well-located, but parking availability and room amenities like TV reception and ventilation need improvement.
Cleanliness emerges as a significant concern with guests reporting dusty rooms, stained carpets, musty odors and inadequately maintained bathrooms. The need for better housekeeping and attention to common areas is frequently highlighted.
The hotel staff receives generally positive reviews, particularly for their friendliness, helpfulness and prompt service with specific staff members like Muhammad Fariz and Muhammad Zulhelmi being appreciated for their excellent service. However, some guests noted occasional lapses in responsiveness and suggested additional training for certain staff members.
The hotel's wifi service garners mixed reactions. While some guests enjoyed strong and stable connections, others faced intermittent service, complicated connection processes and limited availability until midnight.
The rooftop swimming pool offers a fantastic view but needs better maintenance and hygiene with guests reporting dirty conditions and overcrowding at times. Improvements in cleaning and social distancing measures around the pool area are necessary.
Guests report a mixed experience with the beds, appreciating the comfort and cleanliness in some instances, but also encountering issues like stains, odors, bed bugs and discomfort with mattresses and extra beds. Consistent improvement in bed quality and cleanliness is needed.
Flemington Hotel's overall four-star rating has led to divided opinions. Some guests appreciate the value for money, good food and quality service, while others express dissatisfaction with room maintenance, cleanliness and a lack of proactive service from the staff. Despite these mixed reviews, many guests find their experience satisfactory and recommend the hotel for its excellent location and scenic views.
