Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Axolute Comfort Hotel Como - Cantù enjoys a strategically advantageous location, providing guests with easy access to major roads and nearby attractions such as Como and Lake Como. Its setting on the outskirts of Cantù combines tranquility with convenience, offering proximity to shops, supermarkets and public transport options, including a short train ride to Milan. While its placement near a busy roundabout can be noisy, the hotel remains a favorable choice for short stays or as a transit point.
The breakfast experience at the hotel is generally appreciated for its variety, taste and quality, frequently described as excellent and delicious. Despite occasional criticisms regarding the selection and the absence of hot food options, the diligent and friendly staff ensure a well-organized and satisfactory breakfast service.
The dining experience has seen some fluctuations, mainly due to the intermittent availability of the in-house restaurant, which was previously praised for its excellent food. Guests have often relied on nearby dining alternatives, although the hotel's bar remains a pleasant spot for evening aperitifs.
Room experiences are a mix; while many find them to be spacious, clean and comfortable with modern furnishings, there are consistent calls for refurbishment. The cleanliness of rooms generally receives positive feedback, but communal areas and bathrooms sometimes fall short with mentions of dirty carpets and outdated fixtures impacting the overall experience.
Guests consistently commend the staff for their friendliness and professionalism, highlighting the welcoming and helpful attitude, particularly at the reception.
The wifi service varies with some guests finding it fast and reliable, while others face issues with inconsistent connectivity and slow speeds in certain areas.
Parking is a strong point with ample, convenient options, including free parking spaces directly in front of the hotel. Guests appreciate the availability of valet service and EV charging options. However, some note a lack of secure, covered parking.
Opinions on the beds are varied; while some praise their comfort, others find them too hard or worn out, pointing to a need for mattress upgrades.
Despite some positive aspects, the hotel often falls short of the expectations associated with a four-star rating. Guests frequently describe it as closer to a three-star in terms of facilities and maintenance with particular attention drawn to the outdated decor and inconsistent quality.
For business travelers, the hotel is adequate with a convenient location and a welcoming atmosphere, but its accessibility features are limited, particularly at the entrance.
In summary, Axolute Comfort Hotel Como - Cantù provides a generally pleasant stay with notable strengths in location, staff friendliness and parking convenience. However, addressing the inconsistencies in room comfort, cleanliness and overall maintenance would significantly enhance the guest experience.
