The Raceby Hotel, Doncaster South Yorkshire, Part of the AG Collection garners praise primarily for its excellent location, making it a preferred choice for travelers attending events at the nearby Doncaster Dome. Guests appreciate its proximity to the racecourse, local restaurants, supermarkets and various leisure facilities. The calm setting, accessibility and the added convenience of free on-site parking enhance its appeal for weekend getaways, business trips and family visits.
Breakfast offerings receive positive feedback for their quality and freshness with guests enjoying the hot and well-presented continental items. The breakfast staff is frequently noted for their helpfulness and friendliness, adding value to the experience. The dinner menu, however, receives mixed reviews with some enjoying well-cooked, reasonably priced meals while others note issues with availability and limited choices. Despite these occasional shortcomings, when available, the food service is prompt and satisfying, maintaining cleanliness and quality.
The hotel rooms, though simple and slightly dated, generally meet the needs of budget-conscious travelers. Guests often find them clean and comfortable with warm temperatures and basic amenities like hot showers. The motel-style layout and cozy accommodations are appreciated, especially the spaciousness and comfy beds. Though some rooms could use modern updates and more thorough cleaning, they provide reasonable value for short stays.
Cleanliness receives a mixed response, albeit with many praising the housekeeping staff for maintaining clean and spacious rooms. While some areas may need deeper cleaning or decor refreshment, the overall sentiment is that the hotel is clean and functional. The staff at The Raceby Hotel, Doncaster South Yorkshire, Part of the AG Collection stand out for their exceptional service, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. With friendly, efficient and helpful personnel, including notable mentions like Karl and Kyle, the staff's dedication greatly enhances the guest experience.

The proximity to leisure parks and attractions like the Yorkshire Wildlife Park adds to its family-friendly appeal.
The beds receive commendation for comfort, although there are concerns about the quality and condition of some mattresses and bedding. Ensuring thicker bedding and additional pillows could significantly improve guest comfort. For travelers with disabilities, the hotel offers accessible rooms and ample parking, making it convenient and accommodating, though minor improvements in room amenities could be beneficial.
Additionally, the hotel stands out as a pet-friendly destination, offering reasonable pet fees and direct access to grassy areas, which is especially convenient for guests with dogs. Overall, while there are areas for improvement, The Raceby Hotel, Doncaster South Yorkshire, Part of the AG Collection provides a satisfactory and welcoming stay, particularly appreciated for its excellent location, friendly staff and pet-friendly policies.
