Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hotel Myrtilles, situated in the heart of Vielsalm, offers a memorable stay with numerous positive aspects consistently highlighted by guests. Its prime location on the main road provides easy access to local amenities, including supermarkets, restaurants and a picturesque lake, making it a favored choice for both nature enthusiasts and visitors attending the Belgian Formula 1 Grand Prix. Despite being centrally located, the hotel retains a tranquil atmosphere with ample parking space, ensuring a perfect balance between accessibility and serenity. Guests appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and the convenience of facilities like a secure courtyard for bikes.
The hotel’s breakfast is generally satisfying, featuring a hearty, varied and extensive selection. Guests often describe it as delicious and well-organized with fresh products and a friendly staff enhancing the dining experience. However, there are occasional mentions of dry bread and cold items, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback. Dinner at the hotel's restaurant is also well-regarded with high-quality food praised by many. Although there were minor issues like closure on certain evenings and lengthy wait times, the overall dining experience remains favorable.
When it comes to accommodations, Hotel Myrtilles receives commendations for its clean and spacious rooms. Guests note the comfort of the beds and hot showers, as well as the stylish decor in some rooms. While there are mentions of smaller or noisy rooms and dated decor, these are generally minor issues. Cleanliness is a strong point, contributing to a very pleasant stay, although occasional lapses like dust webs or cigarette packs in the parking lot have been noted.
The staff at Hotel Myrtilles are consistently praised for their friendliness, professionalism and responsiveness. Their warm and welcoming nature significantly enhances the guest experience, making visitors feel genuinely valued and well-cared for. Even when the hotel appears to be understaffed, the team's kindness and helpfulness stand out.
Parking is convenient with options both on-site and in the surrounding area. Although the hotel’s private parking is limited, ample free street parking nearby ensures guests can park without major concerns.
Overall, Hotel Myrtilles is characterized by its excellent location, comfortable accommodations, friendly staff and satisfying dining options, making it a commendable place to stay for visitors to Vielsalm.
