Overall, guests have had a fantastic experience staying at Holiday Inn Club Vacations Williamsburg Resort. The facilities exceed expectations with guests noting how nice it is to have a relaxing getaway. While some guests were disappointed with their villa location, they still enjoyed their stay. There were only a few comments that housekeeping might need more staff, but this was not a major issue. Some guests felt the price was a little high, but the majority of guests were satisfied with the value for their money.

Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Howard Johnson by Wyndham Williamsburg receives substantial praise for its exceptional location, making it a convenient base for guests visiting popular attractions like Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. Guests appreciate its proximity to dining options, essential amenities, shopping outlets and event venues.
Guest feedback on the rooms is mixed with positive comments noting clean, spacious accommodations with nice decor and comfortable bedding. The affordability and availability of amenities like fridges, microwaves and in-room hot tubs are appreciated. However, cleanliness issues, maintenance problems and outdated decor are recurrent concerns with reports of dirty rooms, broken amenities and unpleasant odors affecting guest satisfaction.
Cleanliness across the property has received significant criticism with several guests reporting dirty common areas and rooms, as well as evidence of bugs and mold. Conversely, some guests found their rooms adequately clean and comfortable.
The staff experience at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Williamsburg is mixed. Friendly and helpful employees are commended, but negative encounters with rude or unresponsive staff have been reported, suggesting a need for improved staff consistency and training.
The breakfast offerings at the hotel are generally described as disappointing. Guests noted that the provided breakfast, often consisting of pre-packaged cold items, fell short of expectations based on the hotel’s advertisements.
The free Wi-Fi service has varied reviews with some guests finding it reliable and fast, while others encountered significant connectivity issues. The gym is broadly praised for its updated equipment and cleanliness, although a few guests found it outdated or inaccessible.
The pool experiences are also varied with guests enjoying the indoor pool when available. However, frequent closures and maintenance issues have left many disappointed. The parking is free and secure, though deficient lighting and overall space management are noted areas for improvement.
For families, the hotel offers a generally positive experience with spacious and clean rooms, comfortable bedding and accommodating amenities. However, noise and maintenance issues occasionally detract from the family-friendly environment.
The beds receive generally favorable reviews for comfort, though issues with cleanliness and occasional bedbugs highlight the need for better maintenance. The jacuzzi and hot tub offerings are appreciated, but problems with non-functional jets are a recurring issue.
Overall, while the Howard Johnson by Wyndham Williamsburg excels in its location and certain amenities, it would greatly benefit from addressing cleanliness and maintenance concerns, improving staff consistency and enhancing the breakfast service to meet guest expectations.
