Gloucester Hotel Hamdeok enjoys widespread acclaim, primarily attributed to its exceptional location, superb staff and commendable amenities. Nestled near Hamdeok Beach, the hotel offers picturesque ocean views that guests frequently describe as stunning and serene. An array of nearby cafes, restaurants and shops along with ample parking and convenient access to public transport, further enhance its appeal for tourists.
The breakfast service at the hotel is a standout feature, noted for its wide variety and delicious offerings, making it worth the additional fee. Guests appreciate complimentary breakfast vouchers for one person, though some note the need for additional payments for other family members. Despite occasional overcrowding, the overall breakfast experience is highly praised.
Rooms at Gloucester Hotel Hamdeok also receive positive feedback for their cleanliness and comfort with spacious bathrooms frequently highlighted. The scenic ocean views from the rooms are particularly popular. However, feedback on room size varies and some guests note minor issues such as occasional dust, stray hairs and less comfortable floor beds. Nonetheless, the combined factors of friendly staff and excellent value, especially for ocean-view rooms, contribute to a pleasant stay.
Cleanliness generally meets guest expectations with daily cleaning routines and well-maintained facilities providing a comfortable environment. Some minor issues are reported, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive impression.
The hotel's staff consistently earns high praise for their friendliness and helpfulness, offering prompt and efficient service. Their proficiency in English and readiness to assist set a welcoming tone for guests. One minor check-in issue mentioned does not overshadow the overwhelmingly positive feedback from other guests.
Parking is another plus with the hotel offering ample free parking, both underground and outdoor. Some guests find the spaces in the underground garage narrow and challenging, but the convenience of having plenty of parking options remains a notable benefit.
