HotelF1 Cambrai draws considerable praise for its strategic location, particularly from those seeking convenient access to major thoroughfares. The proximity to the motorway and toll booths makes it an ideal stopover for travelers, offering quick and hassle-free travel. The hotel is also situated close to the main road and town center, which augments its appeal for those looking for both geographical advantage and affordability.
While the breakfast setup at hotelF1 Cambrai is unconventional, requiring guests to pick up their meal from the neighboring Ibis hotel, the quality and variety of the food have generally met guest expectations. Despite logistical challenges such as the need to pre-order breakfast the previous evening and occasional issues with beverages like coffee and juice, many appreciated the fresh quality and value for money offered.
The rooms at hotelF1 Cambrai are valued for their economical pricing with some guests appreciating the size and comfort of the beds. However, numerous reviews indicated significant areas for improvement. Issues such as lack of cleanliness, outdated decor, insufficient ventilation and absence of basic amenities like tap water and towels were frequently pointed out. Guests suggested that renovation and better maintenance practices could greatly enhance the overall experience.
Cleanliness in the communal facilities and shared showers received some positive remarks and guests found the secure compound reassuring. However, the general state of hygiene across the property was often criticized. Reports of dirty rooms, unpleasant odors and old, unmaintained facilities were common. Issues like bed bugs, unsanitary showers and lack of essentials further detracted from the cleanliness ratings, underscoring the need for more rigorous maintenance and cleaning protocols.
The staff at hotelF1 Cambrai garnered mixed feedback. Many guests appreciated the friendly and attentive service they received, noting the helpful behavior and quick responses, even during late hours. Specific staff members were commended for their kindness and efficiency. On the downside, some guests experienced difficulties with the availability and presence of staff during key times like check-in and check-out and occasional unhelpful interactions were reported. Despite these mixed reviews, the general courteous nature of many staff members had a positive impact on many travelers.
Feedback on the beds was varied with some guests finding them comfortable and noting clean sheets and bed linen. However, there were prevalent complaints about the hardness and discomfort of the mattresses with some comparing them to sleeping on stone or planks. Issues like dirty bedding, holes in the bedspread and beds full of hairs were also cited, pointing to a need for substantial improvement in both the quality and cleanliness of the bedding and mattresses.
