Econo Lodge Dewitt I-90 is favorably located, offering guests convenient access to nearby restaurants, shops, and amenities, which many visitors find appealing. The hotel's central yet peaceful setting allows for easy exploration of the area while accommodating those traveling with boat trailers, thanks to thoughtful parking arrangements. Additionally, the friendly and helpful staff are consistently highlighted as a positive aspect, providing attentive service and contributing to a welcoming experience.
However, there are several areas where the hotel falls short, such as the lack of a consistent breakfast service, which disappoints guests who expected a simple morning meal. The rooms require significant updates and improvements in cleanliness, as travelers have noted issues like outdated decor, maintenance concerns, and unpleasant odors. Problems with cleanliness persist throughout, with reports of dirty linens, stained sheets, and sticky bathroom surfaces. These conditions sometimes lead guests to feel the need to disinfect their own rooms.
Despite some guests finding the beds comfortable, there are frequent mentions of unsatisfactory bedding conditions, including old mattresses and reports of pests. These concerns overshadow the otherwise decent location and friendly service. Overall, while the staff's hospitality is a highlight, Econo Lodge Dewitt I-90 would benefit greatly from enhancements in cleanliness, maintenance, and provision of basic amenities to better meet guests' expectations.
